Stop Struggling: Slow Down, Do the Work

“Remember it is harder and more painful to continue as I am, struggling, than it is to slow down, do the drills and focal points. Do the practice.”

Number 5 of my “rules of the road for swimmers” is to stop struggling by slowing down in the water, pay attention, stay open to new possibiliites to change. It is more painful to continue on and on. Why not pull back a little now, do the work now to reap the rewards further down the road. Commit then see what happens.
