Write out the practice. Determine todays goals and/or intentions for the session and write them out, too. Decide either before you start the practice or during the warm-up what the tempo trainer will be set at based on what you want to gain from this practice. Record time, strokes per length for each set. Use this information you gain from this session to plan your next.
Grow your practice gradually and incrementally based on your goals and intentions, and information you gather from previous swims. Be consistent. The speed will come.
Pay attention, see what happens.
