Nothing short of a transformation…No longer a “wanna be”, I can lap the pool and swim in open water. I’ve become a double shifting, counter steering roadie, and a mid foot striking runner who can do more than a mile and half without stopping.  Thanks Celeste for teaching me those skills.  —- Chuck AdamoNothing short of a transformation.  I was an age group “wanna be” triathlete.  Swimming 2  lengths of a pool had always been a struggle. Having ridden my bicycle 1000 miles a year, most years since the 1970s, I considered myself a “roadie”, but the fact was I had never really gotten any faster. When it came to running,  I had reached a point where I just couldn’t run, my feet hurt too much.  I joined the local Triathlon club and found a link to Total Immersion swimming. I watched all their videos on YouTube and shortly, thereafter, I attended a week long Total Immersion Triathlon Training Camp, lead by Celeste St. Pierre.  During the week I was given the tools to begin to really swim, bike, and run.  3 months after the camp I did complete my first USA Triathlon sprint event, TriRock Annapolis 2012.  No longer a “wanna be”, I can lap the pool and swim in open water. I’ve become a double shifting, counter steering roadie, and a mid foot striking runner who can do more than a mile and half without stopping.  Thanks Celeste for teaching me those skills.  —- Chuck Adamo
