One of My Favorite for Propulsion

This is one of my favorite images to understand how to propel through the water. I heard it somewhere back in the early 90’s, I can still recall the first time I tried it, it was indeed transforming.

Imagine climbing a ladder that is laying flat on the floor of the pool: hold one wrung of the ladder with/at the forearm of the lead arm, apply backward pressure while simultaneoulsy reaching foward withthe opposite arm. The hips also start to rotate as you reach for the next furthest wrung.
