Mountain biking is a lot about weight, balance, a onenes with the bike. And I don’t mean, like spiritually, well maybe it could be. But thinking the bike is an extension of the body. Having a constant sense of where my weight needs to be, feeling the ground through the bike since the bike is what is connected to the ground and therefore connecting me to the ground. The tires become my feet where I have to feel my centeredness via them. Some rides are better than others, but I love the feel of this constant need to pay attention. And when I get it right there is a silkyness to it that I just want to keep living in. It’s a weight thing.
